Greyhound Pets of America (GPA) was founded in 1987 for the purpose of finding homes for ex-racing greyhounds and educating the public on the suitability and availability of greyhounds as pets. Greyhound Pets of America is the largest non-profit greyhound adoption group, and since it opened its doors in 1987 has adopted over 65,000 greyhounds into loving homes. Greyhound Pets of America has more than 10,000 members and 56 chapters across the country. GPA's goal is to collectively find homes for 7000 greyhounds in the year 2007. In order to achieve this goal, we are working with all of our chapters, other adoption groups and the racing industry.
