Not unlike their human companions, dogs like snacks. It is really quite easy to whip up some healthy treats for your dog right in your own kitchen.

Ingredients: 1/2 cup Bran Flakes, crumbled 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup Swiss cheese, grated
2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced

Directions: In a bowl mix together all the ingredients except the bran flakes, using a fork. Lay out wax paper on the counter and pour mixture in a thick log down the middle. Using the wax paper, roll the log into a uniform roll roughly an inch in diameter then open the paper. Sprinkle on or roll in bran flakes till the log is evenly coated with the crushed flakes.

Rewrap the roll in the waxpaper and place in the refrigerator for an hour or so. For serving to your pup, slice off a half inch disc and prepare to move your fingers quickly out of the way.
