Instructions

Once a day medication approved for use in the rapid treatment of flea infestations on dogs and puppies 4 weeks of age or older and at least 2 pounds of body weight. Capstar is not a preventative and is safe to use in pregnant or breeding animals. Capstar begins to kill adult fleas on the pet within 30 minutes and the effect lasts for 24 hours.
Ingredients

Active ingredient is Nitenpyram, which interferes with the normal nerve transmission of insects, effectively killing them. Not a preventive. If your pet gets re-infested, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day.
Special Notes

Pets may scratch as a result of the fleas dying. It is not a reaction to the medication itself. There are no known drug or food interactions. This medication treats the pet only. To properly control fleas all pets must be treated and the outside and inside environments also need to be treated to prevent a reoccurrence. For dogs over four weeks of age.
